2-Day Seminar (October 26-27)

The 2-Day agenda for the NIH Regional Seminar offers 3 tracks:

  • Administrators
  • New Investigators
  • All Interests

Registration is not required for specific sessions during the 2-day seminar!  This means you can choose on-site which sessions work best for you.  Session presentations are provided by NIH Grants Administration, Program, and Review Officials as well as policy experts from both NIH and HHS.

The Administrators Track will be offering a couple new policy-related sessions this year, in addition to a variety of topics on working with NIH grants management issues important to you!  Hear the top questions being asked of the NIH Office of Policy for Extramural Research Administration (OPERA) and specific Institute/Center staff during the From the Inbox:  Pre-Award and Post-Award Issues session.  Listen to NIH experts discuss Advanced Administrative Topics, Compliance, Budget Basics, and so much more!

A New Investigator’s Track! This track is designed to provide step-by-step guidance on mapping your career, an understanding of the funding process and what can be expected up to the time of award.

Special interest sessions add to the array of topic choices.  Hear the latest “hot” topics at NIH from the Dr. Mike Lauer, NIH Deputy Director for Extramural Research…and check out the agenda for topics such as research integrity, data sharing, foreign collaborations, ClinicalTrials.gov, research using humans or animals, SBIR/STTR, and so much more.

Check out our NEW sessions on X-Train and NIH Contracts.

Opportunities with NIH & HHS Experts:  Participants will find many opportunities throughout the 2-day seminar to meet presenters during breaks, at the NIH exhibit booths, and during lunch.  Attendees may also sign up during the 2-day seminar for our popular 1:1 Meet the Expert Chats.  These 10-15 discussion opportunities for attendees are with not only with seminar presenters, but additional NIH & HHS experts are on hand to meet specifically with attendees, answer questions and provide guidance.
