Ms. Darlene Jackson is a Communications Specialist in the Grants Information Branch, Division of Communications and Outreach, Office of Extramural Research at the National Institutes of Health (NIH), where she provides advice and guidance about NIH’s research and research training programs, the grant application process and procedures to the extramural research community.
With over 25 years of NIH experience in grant-related communications and publications management, Ms. Jackson serves as a key member of the Grants Information team. She advises on a broad range of program implementation and evaluation and handles issues related to Grants Information policies and processes. In addition, Ms. Jackson works with communications experts within the division to develop proactive public outreach strategies to reach the extramural research community. Ms. Jackson serves as a member of OER’s Training Advisory Committee, and she provides communications support to the committee.
