Petrice Brown-Longenecker, Ph.D.
Extramural Human Research Protection Officer
Dr. Petrice Brown-Longenecker serves as one of the Extramural Human Research Protection Officers in NIH’s Office of Extramural Research (OER). Dr. Brown-Longenecker previously served as the Human Subjects Specialist for OER. Prior to joining the NIH, Dr. Brown-Longenecker was a clinical laboratory scientist with NeoDiagnostix, a cancer diagnostics company with an emphasis in women’s health that offers patients molecular tests for DNA mutations in cervical samples. Dr. Brown-Longenecker received her MA in Bioethics while working on her PhD in Human Genetics from Case Western Reserve University. She completed her post-doctoral training at the Population Council in New York City where she focused on male infertility. Dr. Brown-Longenecker has also taught General Biology and Biomedical Ethics at the community college level.
