Dr. Gniesha Y. Dinwiddie is the Scientific Review Officer for the Cancer, Heart and Sleep Epidemiology Study Section B (CHSB) in the Population Sciences and Epidemiology Integrated Review Group at the Center for Scientific Review. Prior to her position at the NIH, Dr. Dinwiddie was an Associate Faculty member in the Hopkins Center for Health Disparities Solutions at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health and Assistant Professor at the University of Maryland College Park. As faculty, she conducted research on the macro-social determinants implicated in cardiovascular disease risk for disparity populations and the bio-social pathways that inform differential risk. Regarded as an expert in the field of population health and health disparities, Dr. Dinwiddie has authored and co-authored over 25 empirical studies which appear in top peer reviewed journals, book chapters and policy reports. Dr. Dinwiddie received her PhD in Medical Sociology from the University of Pennsylvania and Post-Doctoral training in Demography in the Office of Population Research at Princeton University.
