Dr. Nancy Boudreau received her Ph.D. in Experimental Pathology from the University of Toronto. She then undertook post-doctoral studies at the University of California, Berkeley in the laboratory of Dr. Mina Bissell studying the influence of the microenvironment on normal and tumorigenic tissue gene expression. She joined the Dept. of Surgery at the University of California San Francisco and her laboratory studied the role of the homeobox genes in controlling tissue remodeling in during wound repair and cancer progression and metastasis. She was the Ellsbach -Richards Professor and Director of the Surgical Research Laboratory at UCSF through 2016. In 2017 Dr. Boudreau joined the National Cancer Institute as the Chief of the Tumor Metastasis Branch within the Division of Cancer Biology.
