Pamela Jeter, Ph. D., served as a Scientific Review Officer (Contractor) at the Center for Scientific Review (NIH) from November 2016 until April 2018. She joined the Office of Scientific Review at the National Center for Complementary and Integrative Health (NCCIH) in mid-April 2018. In this capacity, she administers the scientific review of applications submitted to NCCIH in response to its various funding announcements.
Pam received her Ph.D. in Cognitive Sciences (Experimental Psychology) from the University of California, Irvine, where she examined mechanisms of transfer and speciﬁcity in visual perceptual learning. Her post-doctoral work at the Johns Hopkins Wilmer Eye Institute involved evaluating the therapeutic benefits of yoga for individuals with severe vision loss, who are at risk for falls and experience diminished quality of life. Additionally, Pam served as Adjunct Faculty at the Maryland University of Integrative Health for 3 years, where she taught research literacy and academic publishing practices for Integrative Health graduate students.
