Dr. Miller serves as a Health Specialist in the Common Fund in the Office of Strategic Coordination in the Division of Program Coordination, Planning, and Strategic Initiatives in the Office of the Director. She manages communication, outreach, and evaluative activities for Common Fund programs, including the High-Risk, High-Reward Research program. She did her postdoctoral work at the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases studying mosquito transmission of drug-resistant malaria and earned her Ph.D. from the University of Notre Dame studying genomic variation in malaria parasites. She has an M.S. in molecular biology and B.S. in zoology from Brigham Young University.
