eRA Service Desk Specialist – Reporting Liaison

Justin McPherson serves as a Service Desk Specialist-Reporting Liaison for the National Institutes of Health (NIH) Electronic Research Administration (eRA) Division of Customer Support Services (DCSS) within the NIH’s Office of Extramural Research (OER). He joined eRA in February of 2016 as a Customer Support Analyst and he assisted applicants and their respective institutions and organizations with registering and navigating the NIH grants process in an effort to support NIH’s mission, which is to seek fundamental knowledge about the nature and behavior of living systems and the application of that knowledge to enhance health, lengthen life, and reduce illness and disability. In just a short time, Justin’s development of his skills and knowledge of eRA’s systems allows him to train new hires as well as less experienced analyst. Justin has recently became a part of the IMPAC II team as a reporting liaison for QVR and RCDC assisting internal NIH employees.
When Justin is not hard at work, he spends his time mentoring and enhancing his vocal talents. Justin received his Bachelor’s degree in Music from Morgan State University.
